# About the SUSHI’S

Stereo Sushi was officially named ‘In your mind only’ and was created by Meiro and Mari, two girls who just wanted to share good music, to improve the site Lazaro came to join the group. After a while Mari decided to start her own site and so Meiro and Laz continued to make improvements on the site and with each layout new features were added to make the site easier to navigate and more enjoyable so they named it “Stereo Sushi” to make it more fitting to their personalities and tastes. Now with the latest layout their dream of their music site has become more what they had in mind.


Meiro Sushi

Konnichiwa! I’m Shin also known as Meiro the creator and owner of Stereo-Sushi and the Geisha-Garden network. I was raised in the Netherlands but I was born in Sri-Lanka, Kandi. Although my nationality is Dutch because I was adopted by a supportive and caring family which eventually got me in contact with the people I love today. Music is definitely one of my passions in life which I can’t live without, though if I don’t listen to music one day it looks like something hasn’t gone right that day. After a hard day of work I love spending time in the bus or train on the way home and just listen to my music list to calm me. This was one of the reasons I created “In Your Mind Only” back in the days with Mari though I felt something lacking and eventually I created “Stereo Sushi” with Lazaro because we were more on the same level (like Twins :P like Project Zero including the photos another passion). My taste in music varies a lot because I’m open minded by nature which lets me enjoy music more. I love Asian music maybe also because of my roots and the influence of Laz. Though my first passion in music goes to UK-Underground and Alternative music because I always listened to Metallica with my father and so he got me in that genre. So you can still find alot of alternative post from me because I still love brit-pop and all kinds of British music. I hope you will enjoy the new features and look of our little network under the Geisha-Garden.


Lazaro Sushi

Hola~ I’m the second contributer of Stereo Sushi and Meiro and I have known each other for a long time so it was actually quite normal to start something together. We always worked on projects together and made our school assignments together so this was a natural step for us to make. Though I more wackier and crazier then her (well for the outside world :P) I’ve infected her with my crazy-ness wich enabled her to make these improvements. I’m from mixed parents my fabulous mom was Dutch and my “el Padrino” father is Spanish. This way I was first raised in Madrid, Spain, which made enjoy native Spanish Music (Rumba, Flamenco and Saetas) but also more pop music thanks to my other family members. Though I also was going to church so I had to listen to classical symphonies and Gospel which I still love. Eventually my family moved to the Netherlands and I got in contact with new music and people. My mom listened to Rock and popular music (she always had the radio on) and with her strong woman and independancy behavior I learned enjoy all kinds of music because I wasn’t held back by the people around me with close-minded views. Hell listening to Black Sabbath and then to Bette Midler is a huge difference.
My father was more laid back with his music and listened to Classical Symphonies, Spanish Flamenco and Opera. This made me listen more to the instrumental parts of a song because what’s a song with out melody? Now a days I listen to Jpop/Cpop/Kpop, Rock, Alternative, Electropop, Pop, R&B, Latin, Spanish, Italian, French, Ballads and Chillout.
