Say hello to the revised Craig David…
Craig David has definitly grown, his slick smooth lines seemed to be trade in for something more grown-up.
Even musically you can’t recognise the old skool craig, the only thing you can recognise him of, is his voice.
It seems he traded in his pop/garage sounds in for something more, jazzy, something more old skool funk, let’s put it this way…it could be an angie stone cd. Eitherway, it’s actually kinda good!
I didn’t really expected to be a good cd, considering the first song i heard off the new album was ‘Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)‘ and man i can’t stand that song! but then i heard ‘6 Of one thing‘ and after hearing that song for the second time, i got hooked to it. Eventhough I had to listen to that song more than once, because 1. I wasn’t used to the retro vibe it gave me, and 2. I had to get used to Craig’s new sound.
Anyway, I really like this album, it has some catchy songs, nice beats and catchy tunes. Just get through the first song and you’ll love it
